Scott Gunty grew up in Aurora, Illinois, a Chicago suburb — and what he loves most about Chicagoland is the food. He takes his cuisine seriously: cultures stacked deep, restaurants operating at the top of their genre consistently, a baseline he hasn't found anywhere else. Scott attended Catholic school in Aurora for all 12 years before being pulled, almost inevitably, into the local rock band scene — a passion that became his serious career attempt through age 30. When that chapter closed, he stepped into single fatherhood for three daughters, reconnected with an old flame in Atlanta, and parlayed seven years of insurance-based restoration work in Denver into his current role at Peachtree Roofing & Exteriors.

Scott specializes in working areas freshly hit by hailstorms and windstorms — running detailed inspections of every part of a home and property, locating wind and hail damage, then guiding homeowners through the insurance claim process and representing them through it. His superpower is finding homeowners with older, damaged roofs in storm-affected areas and successfully helping them get their repair work paid for. The story that drives him is one a mentor once told him about a man digging for gold who quit one inch short — Scott thinks about that line on tough days. He takes it as a personal duty to do the absolute best work he can for every homeowner he serves: detailed inspections, clear communication, and a smile at the end of the day.

Home is his girlfriend, his daughters, and the family fur baby, Peanut. Off the clock, family activities lead — dinners out, Florida getaways, video games, streaming — and on his own, Scott plays guitar and chases live music. Fun fact: in 1998, he opened for Disturbed on the south side of Chicago, and a 2011 music video he is in is still on YouTube. Bucket-list goal: get back into an original rock band on a regular basis.
