Ask Katherine Liss what she likes about Marietta — where she grew up — or Decatur, where she lives now, and the answer is the same: the trees. She is, by her own diagnosis, a jack of all trades, and her resume is the kind of beautifully nonlinear thing you only get from someone who has been curious for a living. She won first place at the North Georgia State Fair in sixth grade for an acrylic dog painting, was nominated as Most Artistic at Alan C. Pope High School, ran a 100%-rated eBay seller account in high school doing retail arbitrage, studied studio art at Georgia State, flipped iPhones in college, spent four years contracting for a search engine to refine result accuracy, learned the insurance side of the world scheduling emergency surgeries at an OB/GYN, and managed hundreds of online listings (plus photography and graphic design) for a wholesale store before landing at Peachtree in 2019.

She joined Peachtree when it was, in her own words, "a mess," and spent her early days implementing the documents and process changes that quietly hold the operation together. Her mentor's wisdom: the answer is already out there; do your research before you ask for help. She is allergic to upselling and quietly obsessed with closing files cleanly — finishing the job is what gives her the dopamine hit. Clients should know she is genuinely in their corner; she takes the time to understand what success looks like for them, and stays close to the details so nothing slips through the cracks.

Off the clock, Katherine reads fantasy, horror, and sci-fi, kayaks, rockhounds, and hunts for artifacts. She lives with three cats — Ivy, Penny, and Cora — and one feral kitty named Cole who refuses to come inside. Over the years, she has personally TNR'd and rehomed roughly 30 stray cats in her neighborhood. Her bucket list: plant a forest in her backyard using the Miyawaki Method.
